The Last daughter
book 1 of The Heresy of Isa Harred
The Heresy of Isa Harred is a dystopian time-slip series about identity, control, inherited power, and the dangerous line between rebellion and worship.
Across three fractured universes, Isa Harred is called daughter, weapon, prophet, and heretic. Raised inside a world built on lies, she must survive the systems that created her, the men who try to use her, and the people who turn her survival into scripture.
Book One: The Wrong Daughter follows Isa as the perfect life she was raised to inherit begins to crack. Her mother calls it love. Her grandfather calls it legacy. But when Isa discovers her face, her history, and her world were never truly hers, escape becomes the first honest thing she has ever done.
E.S. MERCER
E.S. Mercer, aka Eva Mercer, is a novelist, lyricist, and visual artist drawn to stories about memory, identity, power, and the fragile places where love and control collide. Her work often explores what happens when truth is buried, rewritten, or stolen — and what it takes to reclaim it.
When We Were Mortals was her first novel and marked the beginning of a larger body of work that blends speculative worlds with deeply human emotion. She is currently working on her second novel, the first installment of a dystopian speculative series titled The Erasure Cycle, which continues her exploration of identity, resistance, and the cost of remembering.
When she isn’t writing, she creates conceptual photography centered on transformation, resilience, and self-expression. Across all of her work, she believes in telling the stories that refuse to stay buried.
